I was at a rehearsal today from 9am till 6pm (my poor fingers - oww!!)

Anyhow, just caught the recorded qualifying for the Nurburgring Grand Prix and saw Lewis's "off" - looks like a sore one!!!

Apparently he has been confirmed for the race tomorrow, but will start 10th as he never set a proper quali tome in Q3, so it'll be an uphill struggle - and I reckon his ribs must be sore after decelerating from around 150mph to zero in about 1 metre!!

here's the event

Now thats a painful off. Whats the beating he'll come out firing for the GP now? Im really suprised he left his hands on the steering wheel into the crash.. You rarely see that with today's drivers. Probably needs to clean the inside of his suit though.

Kev, I'll be feeling your pain today.. Ive got a 6hour rehersal but I have a really good dose of the flu.. So im already in pain before it even starts hah.

uh, that hurts FMJ, I hate when the flu takes over you and you just can't listen things like thay are supposed to sound...

Good luck with that.

I saw the crash live... We have the TV (with Eurosport) where I'm working. I was  and gutted. Lewis is my favourite driver and I was really hoping he would be ok... He seems so, hopefully.

What a chaotic Grand Prix ! The start of the race was stunning. The rain brought mayhem !

Yeah - it was just carnage - never seen rain like that during a grand prix before - at least, not so sudden that it caused so many people to fly off the circuit.

Great race though, huh? Loads fo overtaking / bumping / crashes, etc!!!!

Well global warming seems to be making one thing better... haha :D

Great race though, never seen so much action in a race in a long time.

Exactly.. first proper race ive seen in years overtaking wise. The start has to be the most bonkers start to a F1 GP ive seen.. all that was needed was the Benny Hill Theme music when they were going into the first corner.

Kev, your buddy and his team must be the happiest team in the paddock after that effort today?? Awesome to finally see Webber and Coultard get some decent points for once.

Yeah, especially after the debacle in qualifying when the team send David out without enough time to actually complete a flying lap!! Oops!!!

Good to see he has your sense of humour but..

Found these while trying to find footage of that little team mistake. Seems to enjoy taking the mickey out of the media.

I love that commercial !

I love it too!  One of the very few adverts that I don't mind blocking the F1 coverage :P

Hamilton's impact in qualifying was nasty, no wonder he got winded, glad he managed to take the race :D

As for the race, fantastic. It was absolute chaos at the start. I couldn't believe Winkelhock led at the end of the first lap  Shame about Button crashing out, in the time he was in the race, he looked very fast.

Alonso certainly deserved winning the race. Hamilton made the mistake with the tyres, but his comback drive was amazing. He could have won the race if he put inters on.

Great race! I hope Hungary is great too!
