A nice race to start the season I thought. Considering the amount of overtaking that doesnt get done these days it proved to still be entertaining... Well considering that Lewis was no where to be seen for most of the race. That said, Webber has to be the unluckiest F1 driver ever.
The one that sealed it for me was Coultard's comment after his incident 'If Massa doesnt take responsibility for that crash, like I did with Alex last year, Im going to kick the s*** out of him' Hahahah. I heard that and just burst out laughing. The pairing of him and Webber are good for the sport. In the very sanatised world that is F1, its just nice to hear those two speak out like they do.

I thought it was a great race. The loss of Traction Control this year has made the cars really "jittery" on the limit, so there was loads of entertainment.
As you said Jono, usually the races become "processional", so it was great to see overtaking and so many unexpected teams in the running.
As for DC's comment - I thought the same thing. We have just had the re-run here on UK TV and they edited that comment out this time round. hahahaha
It was also good to see Lewis and Nicko celebrating together after the, huh?

Is that an exclamation of support for the F1 driver?
Or is it the name of some dodgy HS website you are advertising? hahahaha
First solution. You greedy Scot.
It's great that so many teams were in the action, probably the most exciting Australian GP I've ever watched.
I laughed so hard at DC's comment on Massa, that's reason enough to watch the race live. I agreed with DC though.
Awesome to see Heidfeld and Rosberg on the podium. As a Honda fan, I hope they score points in Malaysia. Bring it on!!
Melbourne, Australia GP......what a great race! That's all I can say... ;-)
And Malaysia GP in this weekend as well! Go BMW! Go Honda!
Go McLaren and go Lewis !!! ffs !
I think it could be wet race on Raceday coz it's raining these 2-3 days here (Malaysia), but we'll see... ;-)

F1 teams fire your meteorologists!! and then take a look to the SZC you can have a trustworthy prediction of the weather. We have have people from all around the world.
Does exist some country in which we do not have coverage??

I'm bored with F1 this season,I can't stand a complete race and I don't know why,maybe the Alonsomania doesn't work on me.Back to the football :D
Agreed, F1 is really boring, especially this year, I think Ferrari will win with no other team able to beat them...
Moto GP is far better in my opinion, check out the race on tomorrow morning 8 am (UK time)
;-)
Hahahaha, thanks to Lewis Hamilton, who decided to make this race a little bit less boring, good one.
Thumbs up for Kubica
Any of you saw the motorcycling races ?

I was watching the race before the football match (Germany-Poland) and the first thing that I saw was the Lewis' crash. He doesn't know what to do with a red light.
Elementary school sweetie.

Go Pedrosa! What a fantabulous race start he did,I don't think that he can reach Rossi's place at the end of the season but dreaming it's ok. :D

Yes Simon,exactly this:

(you can see the crash better at the end of the vid) I think that Hamilton didn't see the light because of the other cars, anyway important mistake for Lewis.

I think Hamilton saw that Kubica was overtaking Kimi in the pitlane on the way out, so he was trying to be in the best possible position on the way out. So he probably wasnt paying too much attention to that red light.
Fell asleep in front of the TV half way through the race though last night.. It started at about 3am, so I was a bit tired at that stage hahah

excuse my ignorance.
why do they put a red light? surely the idea is to get out of the pit lane as fast as possible?

The red light is during safety car periods where they have to wait for the safety car and the entire pack to get to the end of the pit straight so the cars come back into the pack safely and in the right position.

righto! thanks Jono!
Brain-fade from Lewis. When he makes mistakes, he makes them big time!
Kubica won the race, though. Super impressed with that result!

And then when Lewis hooks up the perfect race.. He is phenomenal!! That GP was actually a good one to watch.. Rain always evens out the field completely. I did feel sorry for Red Bull racing but... what a shocker for both drivers.

Great race at Silverstone - seeing the overtaking, slipping and sliding, crashes, etc was a fantastic change form some of the processional races we have had over recent months, huh?
Fantastic race!
Shows the top notch drivers over the average - ahem..Massa.
Alonso still amazes me though...In a cack car and still racing well. Punching well above his weight as they say.
I'm convinced that Massa is not a great driver. He has a good car, that's it. Raikkonen, Hamilton or even Kubica are way better. Gotta see how he couldn't drive his car under the rain...
Yeah, Massa is doing quite a lot of mistakes this year but still I think he is a great driver and he will possibly win the championship... Lewis is doing well this year as well but I just don't like his personality, he's possibly the most unpleasant driver on the circus to me... blaaaaaaa "I'm the best driver on the planet, I can win, nobody can stop me, I don't know anyone such competitive as me on the circus" FFS :?

I'm not in the Lewis fan club either mate. I still think last year was his best chance gone. Massa hasn't coped too well with the loss of traction control and he's a bit too careless.
Fernando and Kimi are by far the most superior drivers in F1..
It'll be interesting next year with more rule changes on the cars etc...was intrigued by Alonso's comment that no-one knows who is gonna be competative next season and why not Honda? Could it be the return of greatness for them with Alonso as the No1 driver?...watch out!
Gonna go to the last Silverstone next year to....camping out and doing the 3 day stretch 8) ....know someone who may get me sorted with pit passes with Red Bull to!
HOCKER

I think the traditional British weather (rain) sorts out the men from the boys.
You have to be good and have balls to drive that well in those conditions.

Indeed, hope it can become a little bit more interesting than the last few seasons. Do you remember back in the 90's with Senna, Prost, Alesi, Mansell ? Now that was great !
Lately F1 has been quite boring, I really moved onto motorbikes races which are far more interesting and funny to me ! Do they broadcast them in your countries ?
English people aren't interested into motorbikes 'cause they don't make right-side-driving ones...
ffs.

Won't beat the days of Senna, Prost and co! They were real ballsy drivers and skilled to the eyeballs with those manual transmissions!
I'm not so much into the bikes but yeah we have it...my F1 buddy likes the bikes to and keeps trying to sway me onto them.

Lewis made it again... Great.
Have to say lewis drove well today.
Finally, at the end of a nail-biting Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton is the new World Champion !!! Hell yeah !!!

Probably one of the best races I have ever witnessed - it was a wonderful finale to the season. Pity David was shunted out on the first lap, though.
As for Lewis - a deserving champion.
Yup, good race, shame for Massa, especially for the Hungary race, where his engine broke at 3 laps to the end, with the same luck / reliability than Hamilton, he was champion and he was deserving it (in my opinion), Lewis is good for sure but I think he's lucky lol, how could he be only 6th or 5th... come on... but anyway, congratulation to him.
Shame for Coulthard, I would have liked to see him in the first 8 for his last GP.
Vettel is the future
Curious to see De Grassi and Bruno senna, they have a drive test at the end of the month with Honda...
Still, moto GP is far more interesting to me
