Always nice to hear from a skater. I was on the Scottish bowlriding team in the late 70's - early 80'2 (seems VERY long time ago. I still head over to Livingstone in Scotland every now and then.
You never shake off that need for weightlessness on a ramp!! The feel of grinding is one of the best there is!!

Yeah we used to skate when we were younger. He built this huge box ramp and we would skate for hours. He was pretty good at bmx too back then. When he moved back to England, it was a while since I had talked to him, and then next thing you know he's on mtv & shit!! Crazy world!!! Glad he's doing good!!

I know this is gonna happen to me!! A good friend of mine, Per Arne Ferner, is the biggest guitartalent in Oslo! He's 20 and has played with and been tutored by some of the greatest jazz musicians in town! He's off to study in Copenhagen this year. In about 6/8 years, he'll be famous and I'll brag about playing with him when we went to school together, hehe.
Loving the stories about the skate ramp! Reminds me of the shit I used to get up to when I was in school! We spent three nights solid building a halfpipe in a friends back yard and the first run I dropped in and straight through the ramp!!
Was more a BMX'er myself, and been down to Livi many times! We were asked to do a display at an Aberdeen fete in 1995 and we got closed down by St Johns Ambulance Brigade for doing backflips as it "looks far too dangerous"!!!!!

Nah, Simon has got his contact stuff, but obviously if his details were given out he'd be pestered night and day. I hear he checks the board from time to time.
