Okay kids... it's (American) football season again! I'm so excited to be able to watch some great games. I'm also going to be playing (Semi-Pro) again this year. It's been a while, but I won't be doing any touring in the near future, so I'll be able to commit to playing a full season. I'll have to post some pictures when I get them.
WOW cool mate
Yeah, same here, championship started again on last week, will be an interesting one, with Milan, Inter and Juventus very competitive...

i love american football but i fear for my life when we play it here (just like i did when we played rugby at school) im a weakling haha but yeah great fun to play seeing as its quite opposite to rugby (you dont have to have ur head stuck near another blokes behind and you can chuck the ball forward!). I wouldnt say i support any team in particular but its always great to watch an american football game when its on. Oh by the way kevin forget those its all about chess but i cant seem to figure out why it isnt recognised as a proper sport yet http://www.turowski.com/chess/ :P

Joel, you know proper football is played with a round ball and not an egg shaped thing!! :)
On that note...

No interest in football whatsoever, but I used to love watching the Hurling when in Dublin or Donegal. Also had great times at the rugby at Lansdown Road in Dublin

Aussie rules is great fun to watch. althoug:
Who came up with the idea of an oval pitch? Did someone trace the outline of the ball, then just keep on making it bigger till they got the final shape?
Why is it refereed / umpired by guys wearing butcher's coats and hats?
Why, when someone scores, does the ref show everyone how big his dick is? You know - someone scores, and he runs up to the touchline. everyone shouts "HOW BIG IS IT??", and the guy then does the "this big mate" thing with his two index fingers

I think from guessing the game is adapted from rugby (Ball shape) and Cricket (Oval shape grounds), i mean we are a bunch of convicts after all . The Butchers Coat umpires are the goal umpires who decide whether its a goal (6points) or a point. The how bigs ya dick comment is when someones scored a goal, just to symbolise it.
Its still the greatest game :P..... even though a broken collarbone sorta put me off playing it again.
